University Library Report

University Library Report:
This vital campus component is excited to report the positive feedback from students, alums, and guests about the much needed upgrades in the computer lab and the classroom in the lower level.

The first day of classes,  Fall 2009, the UL was already seeing students coming in, studying, checking out books, and getting library cards! The new UL Facebook page has now some 60+ friends  and will be a wonderful communication and promotional tool for the University Library on the SCU campus.

The UL is actively engaged in promoting literacy, supporting the campus self-study, and providing a wide range of support services to both students, faculty, and community.

The library provides a "Guest Card" to local pastors and ministers as a community outreach and encourages the board and others to avail themselves of the resources and share the news about the guest card program.

New resources to more adequately support the growing and diverse course offerings continues to be a crucial need (especially in business, general ed, behaviorial sciences, English, and music). The increases in class offerings throughout the year will highlight the need for qualified and professional staff services both day and night in the near future.

The University Library, the most important service on campus, continues to support and innovatively contribute to the success of students and the university.
