A list of textbook selections for course offerings of SCU.   The HEOA, short for the Higher Education Opportunity Act, is a higher education reform bill passed by Congress in 2008. Among the many provisions in HEOA was a set of important regulations to help make textbooks affordable, which went into effect July 1, 2010.

In brief the new law focuses on three things:

1. Price disclosure.  Publishers when marketing textbooks to professors must disclose prices and revision informatin.

2. Items are "unbundled" -  CD's and other items once bundled together must now be offered by the publisher as separate purchases.

3. Textbook lists are made available a time of registration so students (and parents) can find the best price for their pocketbook.
