The library houses several "special collections": the school historical archive, the Noel Brooks Collection, and the Pentecostal Research Collection (PRC).

Pentecostal Research Collection (PRC)

Mission: The purpose of the Pentecostal Research Colelction  (PRC) on the campus of Southwestern Christian University is to establish and maintain a collection of curriculum related and signficant academic level works on the history, biography, theology, doctrines and outreach of the major Holiness-Pentecostal and Charismatic Movements.  Special emphasis will be on  resources related to the history of the Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC) and Southwestern Christian University (and all its previous institutions).   

Collection:

  • Books of theology, history, leadership, business, and literature by members of these denominations, alumni of the school, or academic works on a subject through a Pentecostalism lens.
  • Select periodicals and journals (Pnuema, IPHC Advocate, AG Evangel, Enrichment, etc.)
  • Videos (VHS and DVD) of history, sermons, services, teachings, etc.
  • CD-Roms (limited documents)
  • Online news, digital scans, indexes, etc.
