Noel Brooks Conference History

Noel Brooks Conference History

Noel Brooks taught on the campus of Southwestern in 1974-1975 in the Religion Department. While there, he also conducted various special events. Missions was a love of his and he would later travel extensively for the IPHC World Missions Department (see image).

2003 - The first seminar was held. "This fall marks the beginning of the Noel Brooks Lecture Series at Southwestern Christian University. Our goal for the lectures is to provide a forum for the doctrine of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church to be emphasized and studied.

The topic for the first semester is Sanctification with Rev. Terry Tramel, professor at Southwestern Christian University. Four sessions will be held each semester, with a new topic of study and speaker each semester. The fall 2003 lectures are scheduled for September 23, October 28, November 18, and December 2 at 7 p.m. in the Minchew Auditorium. Guests are welcome to join us for the Noel Brooks Lecture Series. We are looking forward to God moving mightily through these lectures." It was signed Joe Francisco, Eagles' Eye (2003).

We are looking for information about the topics and speakers for the other  lectures in this early series. In 2006, however, the last seminar was held. The topic was Holiness. It featured seminars by Dr. Terry Tramel, Rev. Ken Young, Dr. Marvin Hudson, Dr. Spencer Ledbetter.
