The Noel Brooks Conference is a bold new collaborative program between the Academics Department, the SCU Library and Information Department / Noel Brooks Special Collection, the Adult & Graduate Studies Department, faculty in the Bible and Theology Department, and other partners on campus and in the community. The conference will be developed using a phased plan allowing growth and promotion to occur incrementally to build a lasting and quality event.
Purpose: Our goal is for each event to explore in a sound scholarly manner a variety of topics and modern challenges utilzing theology, history, doctrine, ethics, social, cultural and behavioral developments, all through a Christian, and distinctly Pentecostal, Holiness, Charismatic, and evangeligelical perspective.
Description: Bringing together individuals from diverse disciplines to address multidisciplinary topics. Through the blending of strong Christian Faith, Pentecostal Spirit and the finest of Traditional Scholarship the result will be to create effective and capable individuals emboldened to address the global challenges of being people of God in a post-modern world.

Methodology:
Phase 1: Noel Brooks Lecture and Essay Contest
A one-day event will be planned for Spring 2011 where faculty and guests will present papers on themes related to the topic of one of Noel Brooks most popular sermons and writings. These will be collected into a small book comprising number one in a series titled, The Noel Brooks Memorial Library Series: 1.
Phase 2: Noel Brooks Lecture Conference, Essay Contest, and Book
A two day event will be planned for 2012-13 to include an essay contest, invited speakers presenting papers on a theme representing many fields, and the compilation of the writings into a book, number two in a series titled, The Noel Brooks Memorial Library Series:2.
Phase 3: Noel Brooks Lecture Conference, Essay Contest, Book, and Video Series
A two day event planned for 2013-2014 to include an essay contest, invited speakers, and outside guests. All papers presented will be compiled into a book, number three in a series titled, The Noel Brooks Memorial Library Series:3. These will also be recorded, for sales, online posting, podcasting, recording as DVDs, or other in formats.
Donations: Donations may be made by mailing : Business Office, P.O. Box 340, Bethany, Oklahoma 73008. Please make the check out to "SCU" but make a notation it is for the "Noel Brooks Conference Fund". Funds collected will go to offsetting costs of the annual conference, printing, speakers, etc.
Book sales: As books become available in the Noel Brooks Memorial Library Series, funds will go to the development of a new library on the campus of SCU to be named the Noel Brooks Memorial Library.
CEU: As possible, all attendees will receive CEU or other certification of attendance for professonal development credit.
