Neil Cagle
Head Coach
Coach Neil Cagle will begin his second year as men’s head soccer coach at SCU in the fall of 2010. In his 2009 inaugural campaign, Cagle guided the Eagles to their best record yet in the men’s soccer program, finishing 16-5 on the year. Coach Cagle and the Eagles capped off last year’s season by bringing home an ACCA national title. They were also crowned the NCCAA Southwest Champions, which earned them a birth into the NCCAA National Tournament. Last year’s season brought special honors Cagle, as well, as he was named NCCAA Southwest Region and ACCA National Coach of the Year.
Before arriving at SCU, Coach Cagle served as a high school coach at Edmond Memorial, Deer Creek, and Bethany High Schools, finishing his high school coaching career with a 145-37- 4 overall record. He was named the Daily Oklahoman All City Coach of the Year in 1993 and has coached in four OSSAA All-State games.
Coach Cagle is an alumnus of Southern Nazarene University and owner of All-American Roofing. He and his wife, Cindy, have three children: Michael, Dustin, and Austin.

Brandon Randell
Assistant Coach
In the fall of 2010. Coach Randell will begin his second year as an assistant coach in the men’s soccer program at Southwestern Christian University. Randell came to SCU with head coach Neil Cagle and has played a key role in guiding the Eagle’s through a triumphant campaign thus far.

Randell has previously been under the direction of Coach Cagle while playing at Bethany High School, where he was named a member of the OSSAA All State team in 2003. He then went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications Marketing from Southern Nazarene University where he played soccer for four years. While at SNU, Randell helped the Crimson Storm to four consecutive trips to the NAIA National Tournament throughout his career. In addition to coaching at Southwestern, Randell coaches a competitive soccer team at the Canadian Valley Football Club where he is in his 3rd year with the girl’s youth program.

Bryan Thompson
Assistant Coach
Beginning fall of 2010, Coach Bryan Thompson will become the newest addition to the SCU Men’s Soccer Program. Before joining the Eagles, Coach Thompson obtained a degree in political science from East Central in Ada. From 1998-2007, he served as the head coach of both of the boys’ and girls’ programs at Carl Albert High School. While coaching the Carl Albert boys’ program, Thompson was named West All-State boys’ assistant coach in 1998, 1999, and 2003 and was named the West All-State boys’ head coach in 2004. He began coaching the girls’ programs for the CA Lady Titans in 2003 and was named the West All-State girls’ head coach in 2006 and the Daily Oklahoman’s Women Coach of the Year in 2007. Throughout his tenure at Carl Albert, Thompson was also named district coach of the year six times and has had the honor of coaching a total of 22 All-State players. He has also served as assistant men’s coach at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1999 as well as assistant men’s and women’s coach at Northern State University in Tonkawa, Oklahoma from 2000-2001.

Coach Thompson will now join the Eagles in their quest for victory throughout the NAIA Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference (MCAC) as well as the NCCAA. SCU is excited to welcome Thompson to the athletic program and is confident that he has the familiarity and aptitude to push the Eagles to greatness.

Coach Killman
Goalkeeper Coach
Coach Killman currently serves Southwestern Christian University as the Goal Keeper coach for both the men’s and women’s soccer programs. He has always had a passion for the game of soccer and enjoys being around the game whenever he can. Killman played soccer for Southern Nazarene University in his college campaign where he recorded a .5 goal per game average in a 20 game season during his junior year. While in college, Killman discovered his niche for coaching and started to help coach a local high school team.

After leaving SNU he went on to help build the Westmoore High School Jaguars into a state championship contender throughout the 1990’s. In 1998, Coach Killman began refereeing the game of soccer and has since become a State level referee for the United States Soccer Federation. In 1999, Killman started refereeing in the National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association (NISOA) and will complete his requirements for obtaining his national referee badge in NISOA at a national clinic in June 2010.

By coming to SCU, Coach Killman returns to the coaching scene and with him he brings a wealth of knowledge on goalkeeping and stingy defense. He is a powerful weapon to have on hand for the future success of the SCU Soccer programs. He and his wife, Becky, have two children: Korbin and Kalor.
