Advisors

Students in the Graduate MAP process receive a faculty advisor. The role of the advisor is to assist, advise, guide, mentor, and approve the student as they write their MAP.  The process is in stages and the student and the advisor regulary meet.  The advisor seeks to help the student produce the best work possible according to standard acadmic procedures.   They sign off on the work when it is ready to be sent to the MAP Director for final approval.

MAP Capstone

The culminating work of the graduate program is the Ministry Application Project (MAP).  It follows and builds on the skills acquired and deepened in the Research Methods course.  It allows the student to begin to apply the knowledge gained through the graduate program to address needs and challenges in their field.

The MAP involves four main elements:

  • The Proposal
  • The Field Work
  • The Writing of the Project
  • The Oral Presentation of their Research
