When Justin came to SCU in the Fall of 1999, he came with a great Southwestern heritage. Both of his parents, Darrel and Sharon Blankenship, attended Southwestern in the 70's. Darrel and his wife have pastored the Springs of Praise World Outreach (Pentecostal Holiness Church) in Crystal Springs, MS for over 33 years.

While at SCU, Justin served as Freshman Representative, student chaplain, and Student Senate President. He was also an RA for two years and served as the manager of the basketball team. Justin graduated from SCU in 2003 with a degree in Christian Ministry. After college, Justin served for three years at the IPHC Resource Development Center in Evangelism USA as the assistant to the Director of City Quest. Justin also attended Divine Life Church where he served as a pastor. Justin is currently working on his Master's degree from SCU in Christian Leadership and should finish in the 2008 academic year.

Justin recently became the Executive Pastor of the Purcell Pentecostal Holiness Church in Purcell, OK. When asked about his experience at Southwestern, Justin stated, "I believe the greatest thing that happened to me while I was at SCU was the relationships that I built. God used many of the faculty, staff, and others at SCU to develop, mold and shape my understanding of the gospel and the ministry."

We look forward to seeing how God will use Justin in the future to touch generations. SCU is proud of Justin's accomplishments.
