On a regular basis institutions of higher learning engage in a process of self-assessment for the purpose of accreditation by the North Central Association's Higher Learning Commission. 

This periodic process of institutional review also allows for peer accountability and so we invite peer institutions to hold us accountable to our mission and to the goals of academic excellence.

It is also a process that allows SCU the opportunity, and the responsibility, to hold itself accountable to its mission and to the highest goals of academic excellence as a Christ-centered liberal arts institution of learning.
