Friends of the SCU Library

"Friends of the Library"  -- Support the efforts of the campus library, work to provide funding for development, volunteer, and befriend the library and its goals.   The goal of the library is to build a collection and service hub of excellence to serve students, faculty, and alums. 

Donors contact the Director of Institutional Development to learn how to become a "Friend of the Library."

Volunteer methods include:

  • Book sales
  • Fundraising
  • Volunteering
  • Promoting the library to the community
  • Connecting potential supporters with the school and the library

 

Donations of materials?  Read our GIFTS POLICY.  We accept only new, slightly used books in subjects covered in our curriculum and do not accept textbooks, VHS, or tattered resources.

UNIVERSITY LIBRARY WISHLIST

  • Volunteers to help organize and identify old photos in the archive.
  • Donors to underwrite online databases for various degrees: Business, Religion, and English.
  • Donors to underwrite upgrades to the reference collection for the various disciplines.
  • Donors to underwrite expansions to develop audio-visual listening centers, recording centers, and similar new media skills for learning.
  • Volunteers to organize and run a book-fair or book-sale to raise funds for new materials or equipment in the library
