The first digit in the course number indicates the level of the course (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior). The last digit indicates the number of semester hours of credit offered in the course. The second and third digits distinguish the course from other courses in the academic division. For example, courses numbered "1113" would be a Freshman level 3 semester hour course. Lower division general education courses have been harmonized with identical numbers for similar courses in the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education.
