The SCU History blog explores one of the historic schools that led to the development of SCU in 1946.
"King's College", named for well known minister Bishop J.H. King, was established in Checotah, Ok in 1925 and in 1927 relocated to Kingfisher, Oklahoma.
It remained there until the Great Depression caused it to close its doors in 1935.
The last president was C.H. Williams, a man who would play a key role in the founding of SCU in 1946 in Oklahoma City.
