Anish Lukose - March '08 alumnus of the month

While attending SCU 2004-2006, the Holy Spirit challenged Anish with Acts 1:8. He interpreted the Scripture in its physical context and became a missionary at home (Oklahoma City).
Anish is currently the founder and Director of Eternal Life International Ministries, a mission organization involved in campus evangelism among international students and families based in Oklahoma City. His vision is to "reach the world in our own backyard".

Eternal Life International Ministries (ELIM) was born out of a student outreach ministry called Students' Association For Eternity (SAFE) that was started in March of 2004 at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Due to his burden for the unsaved of Oklahoma, Anish began a church in Oklahoma City in June, 2005. Anish felt a need for a well-balanced church where newcomers can gather for fellowship, but most importantly, be fed by the Word of God. Anish is also involved in church planting in the unreached regions of India by sending native missionaries to the heart of the 10/40 window.

What is the 10/40 window? Today, the reality is that 97 percent of the world's unreached live in the "10/40 window", a rectangular shaped area on our globe extending from West Africa to East Asia, from 10 degrees north to 40 degrees north of the equator. In this part of the world, millions live with little or no chance of ever hearing the Gospel. The "window" also encompasses the majority of the world's Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists.
The darkest of all areas within the 10/40 Window is Asia. Over 80,000 die every day in Asian countries without knowing about the love of Jesus Christ. Five hundred thousand villages in India alone have never heard the Gospel.
Although 97 percent of the world's unreached live in the 10/40 Window, less than .05 percent of the total resources of the Church in the West are being sent to help share the Good News. Truly, there is a staggering amount of work to do.

Anish moved from India to Oklahoma as a teenager and graduated from Putnam City West H.S. in OKC. He received an Associate degree from OSU-OKC, undergraduate degree from UCO, Edmond, OK and a Master of Ministry from SCU, Bethany, OK.
Anish gave his heart to Jesus Christ as a college student and the Holy Spirit gave him a "blessed burden" to reach the unreached souls near and far.
He is married to Blessy, a mission minded wife. Anish and his wife also have two children, Isaac and Joshua. Anish serves as the Pastor of ELIM Church in OKC.
