Southwestern Christian University has five donor societies which recognize those who have made outstanding contributions to benefit future generations of SCU students.Membership in one of the university's donor societies is our acknowledgement to thank those generous donors for their support in cultivating Southwestern’s future.

Servants Society
The Servants Society recognizes the generosity of individuals who make a commitment between $50,000 and $100,000 to SCU. Servant hood is the highest honor Southwestern Christian University bestows on an individual. The Servants Society honors those who sacrificially give to and serve others by emulating the servant heart of Jesus Christ. Those individuals belonging to this society are those who give of their time, resources and talents to uphold the history and traditions of Southwestern.
Southwestern recognizes the importance of the donor's lifelong relationship with the university. Donors at this level are invited to attend numerous events each year allowing them to meet SCU leadership, outstanding students and other donors.
Due to the significance of their commitment to SCU, members of the Servants Society will be presented with a distinctive and personalized “Servant Statue” for their leadership and contribution. To further recognize their leadership, the donor will be highlighted in an issue of the “Eagle’s Eye” Magazine and in the quarterly “Southwestern Status” newsletter. Members of this society will also receive a “Servants Society” card, which allows admission to all university events. Special invitation will be given to these individuals for all Presidential meetings, luncheons and events.
Corvin Founders Club
This club honors the memory of President R.O. Corvin, founder of the University in 1946. R.O. Corvin is respected by many as a great Theologian and credited with guiding the University through an exciting growth period. W.R. Corvin, brother of R.O., was also revered as the university’s second president.
The Corvin Founders Club recognizes individuals, families, corporations, foundations and organizations with total commitments to the University of $25,000 to $49,999. Individual members of the society are presented with a specially-commissioned Corvin Founders Club Plaque – with a sculpture of R.O. & W.R. Corvin and the seal of the university.
Donors at the Corvin Founders Club level are given special invitation to participate in various university activities that range from receptions and luncheons to banquets and graduation exercises.
Springer Society
The Springer Society is named in honor of C.H. and Evelyn Springer, whose gifts to the University has been foundational in capital campaign and campus development giving. The Springer’s gifts to the University account for nearly half of the buildings on both the Tenth Street campus and the Thirty-Ninth Street campus. The Springer Society recognizes those gifts from individuals who make a commitment of $10,000 to $24,999.
Members of the Springer Society are given special recognition in the “Eagle’s Eye” Magazine, the “Southwestern Status” newsletter, and presented with a distinguished crystal vase. This society also receives special invitation to all University events.
President's Council
The Presidents Club is named in honor of past presidents who guided the University since its establishment in 1946. It recognizes individuals who make a commitment between $5,000 and $9,999 to SCU.
Donors at this level are invited to attend several major events each year. These events provide an opportunity for donors to become better acquainted with the President, leadership team and students of Southwestern.
Southwestern provides each Presidents Club member with a personal presidential medallion at the Presidents Council Dinner. In recognition of the member, an article will be included in the “Southwestern Status” newsletter. Members of the Presidents Council also receive special invitation to many university events.
Murr Legacy Society
The Murr Legacy Society honors Alfred Murr, whose Christian faith communicates a lifestyle of servant hood and spiritual discipline. Murr’s early days at Southwestern inspired a deep love for God and the study of His word. Alfred was a keen and highly respected Business professor at Southwestern and fashioned many of his students with business practice coupled with Biblical ethics.
The Murr Legacy Society recognizes individuals who have designated planned gifts in support of Southwestern Christian University. Planned gifts include charitable gift annuities, bequests, life insurance policies and trusts in which the university is the beneficiary. The Murr Legacy Society recognizes planned giving donors with a distinctive, personalized plaque and medallion. In addition, recognition of the planned gift will be included in the “Southwestern Status” newsletter. These donors will also be given special privilege at all University events.
