CIRCULATION

Circulation, Over dues, & Fines
Items are checked out for three (3) weeks, with one renewal. Items are subject to recall if needed by another student or faculty. ALL renewals can be handled in person, by phone, or email.  The Library sends out renewals, overdues, and other important messages via the school's G-Mail account.  Check it frequently (also see instructions for forwarding the SCU G-Mail to another account you already use).

Fines: A fine of ten cents per item per day is assessed to items kept over their due date. Be sure and ask for a date due slip at checkout.

Over dues : Over due notices are sent via the school email system. It is the responsibility of the student to keep their records current. Each semester there is a FINAL DUE DATE (the last Wednesday of classes). ALL materials are either due in or should be re-checked by that date.

Lost or damaged items: Student will be charged the total current replacement cost of the item, plus a $10 processing fee.

All those with items out after the semester final date and who did not renew, are sent to the Business Office and they will need to be released from the library before they 1) take their finals and 2) receive their final grades. After Finals week, their account is billed and a $10 pere item handling charge is added to their bill.

OK-SHARE CARD

Oklahoma Share Card
This is a program of the Oklahoma Council of Academic Library Directors(OCALD) and the State Higher Education Board. It allows for a wide range of Oklahomans to utilize resources from many different libraries for their research needs. Students who are unable to find resources (books) in SCU's library can make application to the SCU Library Director for issuance of an "OK-Share Care." This allows the student to make application for a guest or courtesy card at a member institution. The member institution may allow the student to checkout one or two books (varies by institution). Borrower must comply with all the rules of the lending school.
